Amy’s Flavour of the Month September 2006
Every month I will be giving you a list of things
that I can’t get through the month without….
Shooting has started and some of you will have
been enjoying grouse for a few weeks now. However, one of the
best little game birds comes into season as from the 1 September
– the partridge delicious! Naturally lean and fabulous
they are perfect for entertaining as everyone can have their
own little bird!
Mushrooms are coming into season so do look out for them and
remember to store them in paper bags not plastic
With the garden gluts at this time of year, it is time to make
chutney!

I have just made some Mulberry Gin – a friend of ours has a
mulberry tree and gave me some of its fruit - I am definitely
planting one this year!
