Amy’s Flavour of the Month November 2005

Every month I will be giving you a list of things that I can’t get through the month without….

PomegranatesCurly Kale

November is a time to eat curly kale and pomegranates - Curly Kale needs to be well cooked and served with lots of butter and black pepper and the poms are fantastic added to salads or added to pilaff rice.

Piercebridge Organic Farm

I was Up North this month and I bought some chickens form Piercebridge Organic Farm in Darlington Co Durham – they were fantastic the best chicken I have eaten in a long time! 01325 374251

Castle Howard

My tour of the North took me to many farm shops and markets. Northallerton’ s Lewis and Cooper www.lewisandcooper.co.uk was a real treat and Castle Howard is doing a roaring trade in their farm and chocolate shops www.castlehoward.co.uk

Berry Bros and Rudd have brought out a new liquor perfect for a cold days shooting – Berry’s Scottish Highland Liqueur
