Amy’s Flavour of the Month March 2005
Every month I will be giving you a list of things
that I can’t get through the month without….

Mad as a March Hare!
Things to do and buy this March:

April Issue of Homes
and Gardens - my new column, Culinary Queries
Dye Easter Eggs - Print hard boiled eater eggs
with a wax crayon then
dye. The dye only sticks to the un waxed bit!
Try a natural dye this year:
To make a reddy/pink colour chop up 1 large
re cabbage and cover with
cold water- about 1ltr and 2tablespoons of white distilled vinegar.
Bring it up tot the boil and then simmer for 20-30 minutes.
Strain and
cool. Use to dye hard boiled eggs. You can also use onion skins
and
black coffee in the same way. Just add vinegar and cook as above.
