truly scrumptious
Amy’s Flavour of the Month April 2005
Every month I will be giving you a list of things
that I can’t get through the month without….

Jersey
Royal Potatoes
Cook them while you can! They are only in season from April
to June.
Scrape them with a knife, boil and serve hot dressed in a delicious
mix
of crème fraiche and butter with a little salt and pepper.

Wild Garlic
The Isle of Wight is overgrown with Wild Garlic!
If you can get a hold
of it do try it in salads, soups and as an alternative to garlic
bulbs.
It is also known as Ransom. I have a delicious recipe for Nettle
and
Ransom soup in my book Amy
Willcock's Aga Seasons.

I am addicted to Emma
Bridgewater china - the Easter Bunny left me a
brilliant Jack Russell mug in my basket!

Rick Stein and Matthew Fort search out Food Heros
at Stroud Farmers' Market.
One of my favourite magazines on Saturday is
the Saturday
Guardian -
Matthew Fort is the fabulous Food Editor and Nikki Duffy's ingredient
column is so informative and well written I can't bare to miss
it- nor
should you!

I'm off to Roma and have been trying to learn Italian
www.linkwordlanguages.com
has been wonderful worth a look for
beginners and people who want to brush up on a language.
